MASCA 2026 Spring Conference CE applicant (15 Mar 2026)

Earn up to 8 CEs for the 2026 Spring Conference (In-person only)

There is a $80 charge to earn up to 8 PDPs. You will be given specific instructions at the beginning of every session/keynote as to what you do to get credit for that session. You can only earn CEs for in-person sessions. You will need to register and pay online (or create an invoice). It is important to understand that applying for CEs is separate from your conference registration. Additionally, you will not be issued your CEs until your invoice has been paid. The deadline to submit the CE form is Friday, March 27, 2026.

The Compass: Ethics Symposium & Microcredential II

MASCA’s Ethics Committee is excited announce its second microcredential offering. The Compass: Ethics Symposium & Microcredential II will provide registered MASCA members with high-quality, relevant, timely and interactive content pertaining to topics that often involve legal and ethical challenges and conundrums. Each session will include a brief overview of the topic, augmented with case studies, and time for small group discussion and debate. The ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors will be used to ground our discussion, providing us the compass we need in order to navigate the gray situations that we face in our profession. Upon completion of the symposium, you will feel empowered to make decisions with confidence regarding the array of ethical challenges we face daily. Participants who attend all 10 sessions (or watch the recordings) and complete appropriate pre and post assignments, will be eligible to earn a minimum 10 PDPs and earn a MASCA Microcredential for Ethics. 10 CEs are also available for an additional cost.

NOTE: This symposium is open to all participants, regardless whether you participated in Ethics Symposium I during the 24-25 school year. The concepts do not build on each other, but rather, are discreet learning units. We look forward to you joining us!

The series will run roughly once a month from November to June, on varying Tuesdays (with one exception as noted) from 11:00-12:00 via zoom.

$50 for all 10 sessions for members; $105 for non-members (which includes membership). Additional $100 for the 10 CEs.

Are you a counselor of color looking for a dedicated space to connect, share, and collaborate with peers? If so, you're invited to join MASCA's Counselors of Color Affinity Group (CoC AG)!

Our group is a safe, supportive space for members who identify as counselors of color. We'll gather to share ideas, discuss contemporary issues facing us and our students, and identify collaborative strategies to support one another in our important work.

MASCA 2026 Spring Conference PDP applicant (31 May 2026)

Earn PDPs for the 2026 Spring Conference (In-person or virtual)

In order to receive PDP's you MUST accumulate a minimum of 10 hours of sessions. If you participate in more than 10 hours of sessions you will get 1 addition PDP for each additional hour.

You will pay the $30 processing fee via the MASCA website. At the beginning of the conference you will receive an email with the Google form that must be completed. PDPs will not be issued until payment is received and the form is completed.

The deadline to view virtual recordings is May 31, 2026 and the deadline to submit the PDP form is due by Friday, June 12, 2025.

Boston Pride Parade (06 Jun 2026)

Join with your MASCA friends and colleagues to march in the Boston Pride for the People Parade on Saturday, June 6 which kicks off at Copley Square at 11:00 AM.

Boston Pride started in June 1970 with about 50 participants marching from Cambridge to Boston to protest the Stonewall riots. This effort grew to about 50,000 marchers and 750,000 parade and festival attendees in 2019. Covid and internal disagreements about the future of the Boston Pride Parade led to changes in the early 2020s. Under new leadership, the parade is back and MASCA is excited to participate for our second year. Any MASCA member or family member is welcome to participate.

Please complete this form no later than Friday, May 22 if you would like to walk in this year's Boston Pride Parade with MASCA (organized by the LGBTQ+ Affinity Group). Registrants will be sent additional information as we get closer to the date about a specific time and gathering location.

June 8 Elementary SIG Meeting (08 Jun 2026)

As the Elementary SIG Group concludes its final meeting on June 8th, it’s time to reflect on the journey you have taken over the past year. Each of you have shown remarkable dedication to your students, staff and communities. We look forward to welcoming you all and honor ways you have stayed true to the boundaries you have set for yourselves along the way.

As the school year comes to a close, we hope that you’ll all take pride in all you have accomplished and begin to prepare for a well-deserved summer with some of rest and relaxation.

MASCA’s School Counseling Summer Camp (SC²)

Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, MA

Join your school counseling colleagues for MASCA's fourth annual School Counselor Summer Camp (SC²).

This three-day summer camp experience will include plenty of opportunities for learning, networking and fun, including a big chunk of time on Wednesday afternoon/evening on your own. The program will include thought provoking keynote speakers, breakout sessions, small groups and incredible food options, including a reception and dinner sponsored by the admission office on campus.

22 PDP's will be provided to participants. CEs will also be available for an additional cost

COST:

The registration cost includes six meals (2 breakfasts, 3 lunches & 1 dinner), double occupancy air-conditioned housing for two nights (single room is $150 extra) and access to all speakers and curriculum materials.

Early bird - before May 1: $400

Regular - May 2 - June 26: $475

Single room +75 per night or $150 for the two nights

No housing - registration only - $250

$100 fee will be assessed if cancelled before July 21.
