December 8 Counseling Directors SIG

  • 08 Dec 2022
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • via zoom

Please join your Counseling Director Colleagues from across Massachusetts on December 8 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM for a collaborative conversion about "How SEL Can Look in Schools." This session will be conducted via Zoom, and we will focus on four primary questions that all participants will be encouraged to discuss over the course of our time together:

  1. How can SEL be explicitly delivered in schools?
  2. How can SEL be purposefully and thoughtfully infused into classroom lessons?
  3. How can SEL be incorporated into school-wide themes and culture?
  4. How can SEL be reinforced throughout the day, in the moment?

The conversation will be facilitated by three SEL school professionals and leaders across Massachusetts and in varying grade levels, including Roger Anderson, K12 Director of Wellness, Physical Education and Health for the Westborough Public Schools, Betsy Grams, K8 Wellness and SEL Coordinator for the Sudbury Public Schools, and Sarah Spence, Lecturer in the School Counseling Program/School of Education at UMass Amherst.

We look forward to collaborating with you!
