LGBTQIA+ students are at much higher risk of struggling academically, being bullied, and experiencing mental health concerns due to their experience in the world. Their struggle is real, and being able to help support students in who they are fundamentally as a person is key to supporting their academic success as well as their safety. Come with us on a journey to learn about the experience of our LGBTQIA+ students. Join with an inquisitive mind and an open heart as we learn together about the experience of more than 20% of our students. We will talk about it all in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where questions and dialogue are encouraged and judgement is left at the door.
