Examining the Role of School Counselors’ Self-Efficacy, Psychological Empowerment, and Critical Consciousness on SDoH Competency

You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Tevin Middleton in the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Iowa.

The study aims to examine the effects of school counselor self-efficacy, psychological empowerment, and critical consciousness on social determinants of health (SDoH) competency.

The study will include two Phases, and this is your invitation to participate in the first phase only. You are eligible to participate in this study if you:

  1. Have an active license/certification in school counseling from a U.S. State or territory, and
  2. Currently serve as school counselor in a K-12 setting in a U.S. State or territory.

If you would like to participate, you will complete an electronic survey, which should take approximately 20- to 25 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymous and your participation is voluntary. Upon completion of the survey, you will be eligible to enter a lottery for one of one hundred $25 Amazon electronic gift cards.
