NOTE: This event will be live streamed from the Waltham location, therefore limited interaction will be possible.

Jeffrey Riley, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), will lead a historic discussion about the role of school counselors in ensuring that all students are future ready on Tuesday, December 3 at Bentley University.  Commissioner Riley will kick off the event with a keynote, addressing the challenges that school counselors face in our schools today and how Massachusetts is prepared to address these challenges. We will then hear from several expert panelists, both from Massachusetts and across the country, with specific examples of how school counselors are able to help students overcome the challenges and barriers that so many students face.  We will also learn about specific policy recommendations that will advantage our students.

In addition to MASCA, this event is sponsored by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Bentley University.

The event is free and will include breakfast.  An optional tour of American International College will be held at the conclusion of the event as well as a MA Model 3.0 Draft PD session from 1-2:30.  Registration closes on Friday, November 29.
