️Supporting Trans & Nonbinary Students: Stories, Strategies, Community ️‍

Join us for a powerful conversation that matters. In honor of November's Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance, MASCA's LGBTQ+ School Counselors Affinity Group is gathering on November 6 from 9:30-10:30 AM via Zoom to do what we do best: support each other so we can better support our students.

This isn't a typical webinar—this is our space to connect with fellow counselors who truly get it. We'll share our experiences working with transgender and nonbinary youth, dive into current data and statistics that inform our practice, exchange best practices that are making a real difference, and navigate the challenges we all face in creating affirming environments in our districts. Come ready to be an active participant—sharing, listening, and engaging in meaningful consultancy. We invite you to bring a problem of practice regarding support for transgender or nonbinary youth for collaborative problem-solving with colleagues who understand the complexities of this work.

Whether you're navigating supportive districts or facing uphill battles, your voice matters here. We maintain the utmost confidentiality and create space for authentic professional community. Bring your experiences, your questions, your wins, your challenges, and your commitment to showing up for each other. This work can feel isolating, so let's remind ourselves and each other: you are not alone. Register now and join counselors who are committed to making our schools places where every student—especially our trans and nonbinary youth—can thrive.

To join the meeting, you must pre-register here.
