My name is Chasity Cueto. I am a fellow school counselor and a doctoral student at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. I am writing to request your assistance in distributing an IRB-approved research study invitation to your members.
This study examines how internal traits impact how we show up for students. Specifically, it explores how school counselor authenticity and psychological empowerment relate to broaching behaviors in counseling relationships. As our field moves toward more culturally sustaining practices, understanding these internal traits is vital to bridging the gap in effective broaching.
Calling all K-12 School Counselors!
How do our own internal traits impact how we show up for students? You are invited to participate in an IRB-approved research study titled: "Authenticity and Broaching Behaviors among K-12 School Counselors and the Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment."
While broaching is essential, there is a lack of research on the "human side" of the school counselor in this process. This study aims to bridge that gap.
