Dana Catarius Memorial Scholarship

Our friend and colleague, Dana Catarius, passed away on Monday, May 13 due to complications from a recent surgery.  Dana has been a  school counselor for more than 30 years, the last 27 at  Anne Fales Elementary School in Westborough.  In addition, she currently was serving as a voting MASCA Governing Board member, co-chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on the School Counselor Gaps, an Emerging Leaders Liaison and was looking forward to take on a leadership role for the Elementary Special Interest Group (SIG) in the fall.  She was at the recent Spring Conference with her dog Quinn and presented a breakout session about therapy dogs.  She also served on the MASCA board back in the 1990s as the Elementary Vice President.  You can find arrangements for Dana here.  MASCA has created a scholarship fund to remember and celebrate Dana.  You can either donate below via our website  or you may mail a donation to MASCA, PO Box 351, Hampden, MA 01036.  We will use any donations to support professional development for elementary school counselors or programs targeting our elementary school colleagues.
